Electric shavers become known around the 1930’s. The electric shaver was invented by Jacob Schick, a Canadian who believed that proper shaving could lengthen a man’s life by several years. Jacob Schick waited until technology created an electric motor small enough to fit a hand-held device, before he plunged into making the electric shaver. Films advertised the electric shaver as an essential shaving tool for the modern man, and soon enough, society caught on to this new product. The electric shaver has improved immensely throughout the years. Before, the cutting area of the shaver was a very small area, but it has increased throughout the years. Also, nowadays, there are even cordless and battery operated electric shavers and razors, which make it much more portable, and allow the individual to walk around and shave, all at the same time. Electric shavers are very useful and effective shaving tools utilized by many men today. They allow one to achieve a great, clean shave, in very little time, with very little effort as well.
