Wet Shave

Wet shaves are effective ways of shaving that are just now coming back into style. Men are realizing how much more sufficient and cleaner a shave can truly be if they choose to perform a wet shave. A wet shave is a shave which keeps the area you are shaving wet with hot water before and even during your shave. Before you shave, you must make sure that your skin touches hot water for at least several minutes. This will guarantee that the hair on your skin has absorbed water and has become softer. A wet shave ensures that you effectively remove the hair without dragging your skin or forcing the hair on your skin. Shaving without wetting your skin means that you are shaving coarse hair that is literally being forced cut rather than cleanly sliced. This agitates your skin more, and can cause damage to your skin. A wet shave, on the other hand, will leave your skin feeling soft, smooth, and healthy. To attain a good wet shave, one must use a good razor and brush, and a shaving cream that includes glycerin as its base. A badger-hair shaving brush can immensely increase your chances of a good, wet shave. Next, you need to fill the sink up with hot water. Place your brush into the water, remove it and let it hang upside down for awhile, and then begin applying the brush to the cream in a circular motion, in order to create lather. You can apply the cream up and down all over your face and neck. Next, begin shaving downwards, with the direction of the hair growth. Shave all over your face, and make sure to get the areas around your nose and ears. After you are done shaving your face, you can rinse your face with cold water, and pat it dry afterwards. Lastly, apply after shave lotion to your face, making sure that it is of good quality.
